Banyan House, operated by the Forster Foundation for Drug Rehabilitation Inc, is dedicated to the care and treatment of persons with a substance addiction and to restore such people to normal activity within the community.
Its residential rehabilitation program in particular is one of very few long-term rehabilitation programs available to people in the Northern Territory, where drug misuse, particularly alcohol is unfortunately among the highest in the nation.
Donations of money, goods, services or time from individuals and businesses enable Banyan House to provide services to treat more people with drug addictions.
Donors can claim income tax deductions for donations they make to the Forster Foundation, which has Deductable Gift Recipient (DGR) endorsement conferred under taxation law.
